Leif-Åke Wiklund’s interest in meeting new listeners gave him the idea for
this music performance program. Dressed in Rococo period clothing dating
from the year 1790, the performer create something more than simply a
high-class concert. ”Among Virtuosos and Wig-blocks” is more like a
pleasurable journey back to the days of the gallant virtuosos, where Wiklund
generously shares with the audience - experienced and inexperienced
listeners alike - those secret codes they might need to reveal the treasures
to be found in the the musical composition.
Wiklund manages to make the music come alive, to create magic with six strings stretched across a piece of wood, and make it look easy!
